Chad Womble is a licensed physical therapist and sports rehabilitation specialist based in Rocky Mount, NC, with a decade of clinical experience treating athletes and active individuals. His career began in Fort Worth, TX, where he spent six years as a staff therapist at Therapy Partners of North Texas (Heritage Trace), followed by three years as Clinic Director at their Denton location. During this time, Chad played a pivotal role in developing high‑performance orthopedic and sports rehab programs, including direct collaboration with collegiate athletes from the University of North Texas (UNT) and Texas Woman’s University (TWU).
A Rocky Mount native and former collegiate pitcher, Chad earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science while competing for Florence‑Darlington Technical College and NC Wesleyan University. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at East Carolina University in 2016, which included an intensive clinical rotation at the Texas Rangers’ professional rehab facility (TMI Sports Medicine). There, he gained advanced, hands‑on experience treating elite athletes across multiple sports—refining his expertise in performance recovery, injury prevention, and return‑to‑play protocols.
Chad holds advanced certifications as a Certified ArmCare Specialist and Certified ArmCare Pitching Biomechanist, allowing him to integrate MLB‑level arm‑care diagnostics, strength profiling, and biomechanical analysis into his treatment and performance programs. He also holds the Champion Performance Specialist (C‑PS) certification, a nationally respected credential in movement assessment, strength programming, and return‑to‑sport progressions.
His clinical focus includes sports injury rehabilitation, overhead throwing mechanics, dry needling, manual therapy, TMJ dysfunction, and chronic pain—delivered through an evidence‑based, holistic approach that addresses both physical and lifestyle factors.
At MVP Therapy, Chad blends elite rehab strategies with personalized care—helping people recover faster, move better, and live stronger.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, attending baseball games, and spending time with his wife Chelsea and their two children, Carly and Colton.
