Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at chadwomble@mvptherapist.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

MVP Therapy treats a wide range of injuries and conditions, including sports injuries, chronic pain, post-operative rehabilitation, vestibular rehab, TMJ rehab and orthopedic injuries.

NO WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE

At MVP Therapy, we’ve chosen to operate outside the constraints of insurance so we can focus entirely on what matters most: you. Insurance companies often limit the number of visits, dictate treatment plans, and reduce time spent with each patient — all of which compromise the quality of care.

By staying independent, we’re able to:

• Spend more time with each athlete

• Customize every session based on your goals, not a checklist

• Prioritize performance, prevention, and long-term results — not just symptom management

We believe rehab should be proactive, not reactive. You’re not just a shoulder or an elbow — you’re a whole person. And we’re here to treat you that way.

While MVP Therapy does not bill insurance directly, we’re happy to provide a detailed superbill — a receipt with all the necessary codes and documentation — so you can submit it to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

This allows us to focus fully on your care while still giving you the option to pursue out-of-network benefits.

As a licensed physical therapist, federal law prohibits us from providing covered physical therapy services to Medicare beneficiaries unless we are enrolled as a Medicare provider. Even if a patient wishes to pay out-of-pocket, we are not legally allowed to bypass this rule for services that Medicare would typically reimburse.

However — we can work with Medicare patients for non-covered services, such as:

  •  General health and wellness training
  •  Fitness programming
  •  Injury prevention
  •  Performance coaching

These services fall outside the scope of traditional physical therapy and are considered wellness-based, meaning they are not subject to Medicare restrictions.

If you're a Medicare beneficiary looking to improve strength, mobility, or athletic performance, we’d love to support your goals through our health and fitness offerings.

We believe elite care should be ACCESSIBLE.

At MVP Therapy, we offer flexible payment plans to help make your rehab or performance program more manageable. Whether you're investing in a multi-visit package or a specialized training series, we’re happy to work with you to create a plan that fits your budget.

Just reach out to us directly — we’ll walk you through your options and set up a payment schedule that works for you.

No Prescription Needed

You have direct access to physical therapy in North Carolina.

In the state of North Carolina, you do not need a physician’s referral or prescription to begin physical therapy. As licensed physical therapists, we are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal conditions independently — which means you can start your recovery or performance training without delay.

This direct access model allows us to:

• Begin care immediately

• Save you time and unnecessary appointments

• Customize treatment based on your goals, not insurance red tape

Whether you're dealing with pain, rehabbing an injury, or training for peak performance — you can come straight to MVP Therapy and get started.
